Baked Steak Recipe 1

Ingredients

  • 2 to 2 1/2 pounds flank steak
  • 2 large tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 large green bell pepper, cored, seeded and sliced into thin rings
  • 1 large white onion, peeled and sliced into thin rings
  • 4 ounce can whole button mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tbsp. cold butter, diced
  • 3 tbsp. chili sauce
  • 3 tbsp. catsup
  • 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Coat the inside of a large, shallow baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Place steak in the prepared pan.
  • Cover steak with tomato quarters, bell pepper rings, onion rings and mushrooms.
  • Dot butter over vegetables.
  • Stir together chili sauce, catsup and worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.
  • Pour mixture over vegetables.
  • Bake uncovered, about 45 minutes until steak is tender.
  • Thinly slice steak across the grain and serve.

Baked Steak Recipe 2

Ingredients

  • 2 steaks
  • worcestershire sauce
  • paprika
  • olive oil
  • butter

Cooking Instructions

  • On the steaks, sprinkle the Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning and the Paprika. Rub in real good.
  • Place into a Zip-loc bag and put into the refrigerator for 3 hours, flipping about every hour.
  • Remove from refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature. (30-45 minutes)
  • Preheat oven to 350 deg.
  • In a nonstick skillet heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter on medium high heat.
  • Shear the steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side. (Browning well but not burning)
  • Remove steaks from heat and put into another a room temperature nonstick pan.
  • Put pan in oven for 6-10 minutes flipping the steaks once after 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, place on a plate, cover with foil and let rest for 10 minutes.

Baked Steak Recipe 3

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds thin-sliced round steaks or sirloin tip steaks, cut in serving-size portions steak grill seasoning, such as Chicago steak or Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 medium onions, peeled, halved, and sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon steak grill seasoning, such as Chicago or Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light or dark brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard, or a Dijon style mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

  • Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish or spray with cooking spray. Heat oven to 325°F.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Sprinkle the steaks with grill seasoning and brown lightly on both sides. Remove the steaks to a plate.
  • Add onions to the same skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until lightly browned, about 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Combine ketchup with 1 tablespoon steak seasoning, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, and worcestershire sauce.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup of the sauce in the baking dish. Arrange about 1/4 of the onions over the sauce.
  • Arrange some of the steaks over the sauce, spoon more of the sauce over each steak and sprinkle with half of the remaining onions.
  • Repeat with the remaining steaks, topping with the remaining onions and sauce.
  • Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours.

Baked Steak Recipe 4

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced on a diagonal
  • 1 lemon, very thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 2-lb, 2-in.-thick sirloin steak
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1⁄4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1⁄4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • Baked potatoes, for serving

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat oven to 400°F. In a roasting pan, combine the mushrooms, celery, lemon, onion, oil, and 1⁄4 tsp each salt and pepper.
  • Season the steak with 1⁄2 tsp each salt and pepper, rub with the garlic and place on top of the vegetables.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, lemon juice and Worcestershire.
  • Spoon the ketchup mixture over the top of the steak and roast 30 to 35 minutes for medium-rare (when a meat thermometer registers 125°F).
  • Transfer the meat to a cutting board and let rest at least 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the steak with the vegetables and baked potatoes, if desired.
